In the province of Parwan, near Kabul, people gathered each year on the slopes of Gul Ghundi when the Judas trees (Erythrina) were in full bloom, celebrating nature and life together. The violet and pink tones of the canvas echo the blossoms themselves — symbols of love, friendship, and rebirth. Yet within this radiance also lies the memory of a festival that has now fallen silent. The green along the upper edge points to the hope that continues to survive despite everything.
